From the first conversation to regular lessons
- Free consultation · 20 minutesDiscuss your child’s needs, course, level, fees and available times. This is a conversation, not a subject lesson or an enrolment.
- First lesson · 50 minutesStart from the difficulty identified. Younger children may need a parent’s help with the initial device setup.
- Each lessonMax asks your child to explain their thinking and works through the step that needs attention.
- Between lessonsMonthly and term plans include XYLEX homework diagnosis and a monthly learning report. AI suggestions are checked by the teacher.

Prices above are in New Taiwan dollars for families in Taiwan at the foundations level. Keeping-pace, advanced or special needs are quoted after the free consultation. Overseas families pay in US dollars: Single lesson US$40; 4-lesson monthly plan US$150; 16-lesson term plan US$560 (overseas plans).
Practical details
- Platform and length
- 50 minutes on Google Meet, one-to-one.
- Language
- Lessons are in Chinese. Parents can communicate in English or Chinese.
- Equipment
- A computer or tablet, a headset and a phone for photographing homework. A parent should help younger children with their first setup.
- Materials
- For Taiwan students, school textbooks plus Max’s own materials. Overseas students use Max’s materials. Materials are included.
- Rescheduling
- Notify Max at least 24 hours before a lesson to reschedule without a fee. A cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice, or a missed lesson, counts as a lesson. If Max cancels, a replacement lesson is arranged.
- Unused lessons
- Unused plan lessons are refunded proportionally. See the service terms.
